How do room and booth locations appear in the app?
Your attendees can discover all the need-to-know information about a session, including its location, from the session detail view. The EventPilot apps are optimized for mobile devices, so this information is thoughtfully placed to make the best use of a smartphone's limited screen size.
Here is an example. The location of this session is Ballroom B.

How should I format my locations names?
When choosing a format for your location names, consider the following:
- Symbols such as colons, commas etc. : / | , are not supported. Learn more in this article:
Can I use symbols like slashes, semicolons, etc. for locations (rooms, booths), tracks and metadata? My pin drop or filter is not working? - Mobile devices have small screens and content space is limited. Keep location labels under 20 characters. Long location names will be ellipsized on small screens.
 - Locations should begin with the room name. If you include the name of a venue, it should come second (like a suffix).
 - When possible, omit or abbreviate the name of the convention center.

Example: "Boston Convention Center - Third Floor - Room 303" is very long. Most devices cannot display the location in full and, since the most specific information is last, it will be ellipsized. For example, a user may only see "Boston Convention Center ..." but not what's most important - the room!
To improve this:
- reorder so the room name always shows first
 - omit the word "Room" if not fully necessary
 - omit or shorten "Third Floor" to "Level 3" (use numbers and don't spell it out)
 - if you entire event is held at the convention center, there is no need to add Convention Center to the location. If you are using multiple venues, abbreviate the term "Convention Center" so the location becomes just "303 Level 3 - Boston CC," which is much better optimized for mobile devices.

Other Tips
- Each location must be unique. If you pin poster boards as well as booth numbers, ensure that the numbers are differentiated. For example, your poster board number may have the label 1234 while your exhibitor has the label Booth 1234.
 - Users can rotate their device to landscape mode to view slightly longer locations.
 - If you have pinned your locations via the EventPilot Conference App Builder, attendees can tap to see the pinned location on the map. This will also display the location name in full.
 - If you would like to include a longer or alternate location name, you can place it at the top of your description field. Pro users: Feel free to contact your Project Manager for specific recommendations for your project.
