All Academic API - Before Getting Started
In order to set up new data sources that connect with the API, you will need the to contact All Academic to receive the following:
- client parameter which may look like your general event abbreviation abcd
- client_group which could be 'one'
- client_conference which may be your full conference name e.g. abcd26
- API username
- API password
Once you have received the details, contact your ATIV project manager to assist in setting up Import Sources in the Conference App Builder.
Access the menu item in the Conference App Builder where you would like to import data:
Agenda for session data
Speakers for presenters
Media for abstracts
Once set up, you can use the Import All button on the Conference App Builder Home Screen to import the latest version of your data from All Academic. Note there may be a delay between you making updates and those updates becoming available via the API.
FYI:
The PaperProgramCode is labeled Session Number in the data import field mapping. It is an optional field to import and displays the content in the session detail view. Instead of alphabetical child session sorting, you can sort presentations within a parent sessions by session number if all children start at the same time.
