Where do public chat comments on sessions or exhibitors, or in custom chats appear? What is the Activity Feed?

Modified on Fri, 24 Apr at 6:15 PM

Depending on the settings chosen for your conference, a public chat may appear on each session and each exhibitor's page. In addition, there may be custom chat topics set up.

Comments/chats posted to any of these places will appear publicly. In addition, depending on the settings chosen for the conference, they may also appear in the Activity Feed on the home screen of the app or planner. There may be a delay before comments appear in the Activity Feed.

Note: Organizers have the ability to view and moderate all comments. See this KB article for more information.

FAQ

What is the Activity Feed?

Depending on the event app configuration, the Home Screen or a dedicated tab may display the Activity Feed. The feed can combine:

  • social media posts from X or Bluesky
  • session discussion comments
  • photos

Event organizers control which of these content sources are included in the feed. For consistency in the UI and fast loading, only the first image from a social media post is displayed in the feed. For video posts, the preview image provided by the social media platform does not include a play button. When users tap the post, they are taken to the original post on the social media platform, where they can watch the video or view any additional images.
