What does "You have reached the limit of pending contact requests" mean? I can't send any messages.

The EventPilot Conference App platform supports direct, one-on-one (1:1) messaging, allowing you to engage in private conversations with other attendees. This feature is designed to facilitate seamless communication but comes with certain guidelines to ensure a positive experience for all users.

Initiating 1:1 Chats

Starting a Chat: You can initiate a chat with any attendee by sending them a message. This action creates a contact request.

Pending Requests: When you send a message, and the recipient has yet to respond, your message is classified as a "pending" contact request.

Contact Request Limitation

Limit to Prevent Spam: To maintain the quality of interactions and prevent spam, there is a cap on the number of pending contact requests you can have at any time. This limit is set at 50 pending requests. Once this limit is reached, your account will be blocked and you no longer are permitted to participate in existing chats or initiate new contact requests.

Deleting Messages: Deleting a message you have sent does not decrease your count of pending requests. The limit is strictly governed by the responses you receive, not by how many messages you remove in chats where the recipient has not responded.

How to Manage Your Pending Requests

Reducing Pending Requests: The only way to reduce your count of pending requests and free up space to initiate new chats is through responses from other attendees. Once an attendee replies to your message, that chat is no longer considered pending, and you can continue participating in chats or send out new contact requests.

Best Practices: We recommend being selective and thoughtful when sending out chat requests. Engaging in meaningful conversations is more beneficial than reaching out en masse.

Your Account is Blocked

If you find yourself unable to initiate new 1:1 chats (contact requests) or to participate in any chats, either private or public, your account has been  blocked. In this case, you either reached the contact request limit or you were reported by other attendees for inappropriate behavior or spamming within the chat feature.

Maintaining a safe and productive environment for all users is a priority for the event. The measures in place, including the blocking of accounts, are designed to ensure a rewarding experience for yourself and others within the platform.
