Our apps use the WebView component to display web based content within the app. The WebView relies on Chrome’s WebView implementation for rendering web content. While it doesn’t necessarily “run Chrome,” it uses Chrome’s engine for web functionality. In order to use that engine, the Chrome app must be installed on your device. Chrome ensures the latest web standards and security updates are in place, providing a smooth and reliable experience.
