Set up two-factor authentication (2FA)
Keep your account secure with a second authentication step by entering a time-based one-time code:
- Log into the Conference App Builder
- Select your profile icon on the top right
- Select Account Settings
- When the Account window opens, select Settings
- Toggle Enable 2FA to ON
- Install the Google Authenticator app on your mobile device (search for Google Authenticator in the Google Play store for Android or the Apple App Store for iOS)
- Open the app and click the plus + symbol to add a new account
- Either choose to Scan the QR code or Enter a setup key and follow the prompts.
The Account Settings page displays both, the QR code for your account as well as your unique setup key. - The app will now display a code for your account. Enter the code in the Account Settings page and click the Verify button

How to use two-factor authentication
After logging in with your username and password, you are prompted to enter a Google Authenticator code.
- On your computer, open the Conference App Builder page and log in with your email and password and click Login which then displays the 2FA page
- Open the Google Authenticator app on your device
- Look for the account that starts with EventPilot: followed by your email address to that account
- Enter the displayed code in the Conference App Builder login screen
- If the code appears in red or is flashing, it is about to expire and will no longer work. Wait a few seconds for a new code to appear. A visual countdown timer is typically displayed on the screen.
- Click the Sign In button
You do not need to manually back up your Google Authenticator app if you have the latest version. Logging in to your Google account will automatically sync your codes across all devices. You can also transfer your Google Authenticator codes to another phone. If you connect the Google Authenticator app with your gmail account, you can also access backup codes https://myaccount.google.com/signinoptions/two-step-verification
