How do I import exhibitor data from ExpoCad?

Initial setup

1. Request the event ID from your ExpoCad contact. Note that this ID is case-sensitive
2. In the App Builder, visit Expo > Exhibitors
3. Expand the Import card if needed, then click Add Import Source
4. Step 1: Setup
   1. Give this source a name, e.g. ExpoCad
   2. Choose ExpoCad from the dropdown
   3. Click Next
5. Step 2: Data
   1. Enter the event ID you received from ExpoCad
   2. Next
6. Step 3: Field mapping
   1. Here, you will specify which ExpoCad fields should be brought into the app
   2. Review this article for more details on field mapping and see below for additional details on available data
   3. Next
7. Step 4: Results
   1. If necessary, review any import errors 
   2. You can now click out of the window to close 

Incremental Imports after Setup

1. Return to the Conference App Builder, log in, and access your project
2. You have three different import options: 
   1. Import all at once
      Select the Home menu > Import All Data 
   2. Import one data set (i.e. just exhibitors)
      To import all sources for a given table individually, visit that page of the Conference App Builder (e.g. Expo > Exhibitors) and choose Import All [Exhibitors]
   3. Import one source only
      To import just one single source, visit that page of the Conference App Builder (e.g. Expo > Exhibitors), expand the import card if necessary, and select the Import button beside a single data source
      
      Note: If you manually import individual sources, ensure to import all related sources or you may be seeing orphan errors.
3. If there are errors in your data, review this article: Common Conference App Builder Import Data Errors and Import Exclusion Reasons
4. Select the Publish Menu on the top left and Publish Proof Data
5. After reviewing your data update in the proof version, you may publish to live by selecting Publish Live Data

Available fields

The following fields are available to import: 

1. Required fields 
   1. ID
   2. Name
   3. Type (comes from "company types" in ExpoCad. Default is "Exhibitor;" other values might be "Featured Exhibitor," "Silver Sponsor," etc) 
2. Optional fields
   1. Description 
   2. 
Logo
   3. Website
   4. Country
   5. Booths
   6. Custom fields "field1" through "field9"
